[Extension 1] One is that a big company is usually more organized since it has the money to hire needed personnel. For example, big companies have separate departments for human resources and accounting, whereas smaller companies might have one or two people handling such transactions. [Point 2] Big companies can also easily supply customer demand in the city or country. However, a positive of smaller companies is that they connect more with their customers. Small business owners usually know their clients personally, allowing customers to feel at home in such stores. More perspectives: Scale —more branches, bigger projects, personalised vs. general products Clients —national/international, prestige, differing target markets and demographics Q2: What kinds of business are popular in your country? My country has so many different kinds of business. [Point 1] Restaurants and snack shops are always popular. [Extension] Chinese people love to eat, meaning there is a massive catering industry providing food for all kinds of people and occasions. [Point 2] Another very popular kind of business is hi-tech products. [Extension] Because cell phones are so popular, there are a huge number of tech companies that develop apps and programs to help people do more with their cell phones to save time and money. More perspectives: Language —translation, teaching, growth of international trade, proofreading Fashion —different clothing brands popular with boys/girls, old/young etc. Banks —CCB, Bank of China etc. online banking, financial consultants Q3: Which type of company do you think benefits a country more, big companies or small ones? [Point] I think that both big and small companies have the potential to offer a country a great deal of benefits in different ways. [Extension 1] Smaller companies can adapt more quickly to the new trends and developments in the market, meaning that a country can stay modern and keep up with the changing world at large. [Point 2] On the other hand, a big company can use its size to reach more people and also provide things more affordable to customers and clients by manufacturing products on a larger scale.
